Whats next w/o going too deep?

After a chip, intake & exhaust, whats next without getting into the shortblock? I'm def. thinking head studs, but should I be looking at turbo's, injectors, HPOP's, or what? How much power can you reliably make with out doing rods, or any of that other stuff?

What does everyone think about ATS tranny's & convertors?

Its an 02' crew cab, short bed. So, if I go with turbo & injectors, what do you recomend? I was thinking about stage 2's, or 3's, but I really dont know what the hell I'm talking about, and the 2's dont leave much room for future mods, but the 3's seem like too much for what I have now.

Your truck is good for 400hp(or so) with your stock rods. A TN BB trubo, Stage 2 injectors and a spare block in case she blows.

I was just looking at a kit from Black Widow that includes a TN BB turbo & stage 3 injectors, will the stage 3's be too much? And don't forget, I'm looking for reliable horsepower! The spare block thing is the exact mod that I'm not looking to make! Are the rods the weak link with a setup like this? Will I need head studs or big oil?

This truck is my daily driver, and my business revolves around it's reliability. Reliability is more important to me than power, but I want to make as much reliable horsepower as possable. I am open to all suggestions, but need a safe setup.

I think I have made up my mind to get the TN BB turbo, but I am unsettled on which injectors to get (if any) for my particular needs. I think I am going to go ahead and get a FASS kit as well, but do not know which one to get?

The PMR rods you have are the weak link. Most will say you're good up to 400HP with them, anymore than that is asking for trouble. The TN BB is a good choice. Stay with a St. 2 single shot injector for safety and reliability. Get a DP or TW custom burned chip to control it. That should get you well in to the upper 300HP range I believe. Your tranny might not like it much either. A valve body upgrade is a must, and maybe a upgraded tq converter.

with 3's are way to much for a truck with pmr's i bought a forged rod motor from a guy that threw 2 rods after putting bigger injectors in they weren't as big as 3's and he said he got about a thousand miles on them
