Off the shelf TS tunes?

Well for a while I have been looking at PHP's tunes and was this close to buying them until I came across this:
TS Performance 7.3L Powerstroke Switchable Chip (6 Position)

I believe these are what they call "canned" tunes. Since my truck is stock would it be okay to run these tunes until I upgrade, which at that point I would just get custom tunes anyways, or should I just go ahead and go for the PHP? The only advantage I see in doing this is the fact that these tunes are about $125 cheaper than PHP and I would probably get them sooner since they aren't "custom".

I could not get that link to load on my phone, but the stock tuned ts chips I've seen are the same price as the pheonix chip.?

DING...

Not to mention if you get the one the OP linked to you will have to have it reformatted to work with PHP anyway, which will drive the cost up.

PHP tunes will be far better then the standard TS files which have not been updated in years.

Well I bought it last night. Should I return it and get PHP tunes or should I just live with it? I wanted tunes before the 26th and I know there is no way I'm gonna get PHP's by then.

Thats up to you...

You will have to have it reformatted which is not a huge deal, I believe PHP charges $30 or so for that...

The tunes are fine, just out dated for what tuners are doing today.

I'll just live with it for now. Anythings better than the hypertech I'm running now. I've heard good things about them anyways. As long as it doesn't blow up my trans or motor it's okay.

Well of course. I ordered those the other day too, but of course they were out of stock of the stuff to make the kit so the chip will probably be here before they are.
