Ok guys I have a problem. Recently my truck went into the shop because somehow the computer was shorted out. my chip was on it. when i got the truck back the new computer was a remanufactured computer, and the chip prongs were bronze and both times i cleaned it off and installed the chip it would not start. do any of the good brands like DP or TW load their tunes on obdII for the 7.3s
Thanks Michael

The chip was a DP, but i tried installing it twice, and i figured it was a bad connection cause the prongs were bronze, and i sure dont want to get another PCM.

The reman PCM might not be the same code as the old one which would cause a no start Check that out? DP tuner also burns onto SCT programmers

how did the pcm short out? loose chip, messing with the chip, what? why take it to the shop when you've already installed a chip? could have saved some $ probably. New PCM is probably $275 max, could get it from a wrecking yard for about $100 depending on location.

anyways, I think when the pcm gets fried with a chip, it fries the chip as well.
