I'm not sure what the deal is there. Maybe a guage malfunction. Does it seem to pull a lot harder once the boost jumps up to near 30?

Not much if it's idling. My buddy's cummins idles a little less than a pound of boost. It's a digital guage and it flashes back forth from 0-1lb.

Do you know if the dealer reflashed your ECM? If there is a different software version that could change things up a bit maybe.
