afe intake
i am looking to buy an intake for my 2000 powerstroke. what make the afe intake so much better than the others? i am leaning toward the airmax, that is what i had on my 5.4.

All of the research that i've done has shown that it's flowed better than all the rest and filtered just as good. I've never heard of airmax before. How long have they been puttin out diesel filter systems? I'll stick with AFE as everyone i've talked to that has one has had nothing but positive to say about it. Can't say the same for K&N's, etc. SRDIESELSCOTT on here can give you a good deal on one thru his shop...

i gues so thats y they cost so much, cause they r the best, i am not sure how long they have been making a diesel system but i loved the one on my gaser

It depends on the year of your truck. Worm you're was for your 96 right? I've found stage II's for the 96 trucks for over a hundred less than the 99 ups. The lowest price I have found on ebay so far for a 99 up stage II was 379 I think and free shipping. I think Scott on here quoted me 350 at his shop just south of me as a member on here, so i'll be buying mine from him once I get the extra dough. Doh!
