Upgrades before Chip?

I just bought a 02 f350 srw 4x4 with an auto trans and im getting ready to add some power what all do I need to do to keep it from hurting trans and engine I am looking to make pretty good power and I know im gonna get some hate but I want a little bit of coal for show every now and then. I already know im getting gauges (boost,trans temp, egt) also a 4 inch exhaust haven't decided on stacks but turbo back and also a new air intake.

The two big questions you need to ask yourself is what is your budget and what do you plan to do with the truck? Otherwise, your somewhere between a few hundred for a tuner or a few hundred thousand for a dedicated pulling truck.
