ffd stage 1 injectors

im needing to replace my #8 injector so im just thinking about replacing them all and needing to do glow plugs as well. my question is my truck has just under 330k would it be a good idea to put stage 1s in it or just go with stock? to be honest im not sure if its the original engine or not... still runs great if it does have that many miles haha any input would be great!

I doubt you actually need to replace #8. If anything, maybe the CPS.
Ryan Casserly is there and FullForceDiesel is great from everything I read.
If you do the injectors, and GPs, go ahead and just replace the UVCH too. No reason not to.
If you go to S1s, you might find you're low on fuel pressure or high pressure oil. But then it just gets fun

Did you get a fault code for #8 on a CCT? If so, its quite normal if it is indeed an AE code injector.

Fwiw, Ive got stage 2's still all OEM fuel and have yet to install my stealth HPOP. I have e99 so its the 15* stock HPOP and it still hits 3500psi on WOT runs. A fuel crossover line would help though. Granted an aftermarket HPOP isn't going to hurt anything but not necessary until you get into much bigger injectors.

oh ok i do have new vc gaskets and harnesses ready to go. im just having a slight miss at idle and low rpms and while im driving a steady speed. i had my injectors buzz tested and second to last buzz didnt sound the greatest and the only code it was showing was #8 injector and exhaust back presure sensor. so im still not sure in why its still "missing". any help?

Your getting the miss at idle or low rpm's due to that quiet injector from your buzz test. Higher rpm's your not going to really notice just because the engine is turning much faster. I don't recall the sequence the buzz test goes in off hand. If its 1-8 or follows firing order???

When you do pull the VC's you'll see right away what code the #8 is. If its AE then I wouldn't worry about it. If its not AE and it was me, I'd replace it.

You definitely have a bad injector. Now that you say, I can't remember when I pulled my sticks if I pulled out an AE out of my #8 cylinder.
