mounting fuel filters

I curtly have water separator and fuel filter mounted on frame rail horizontally at slight down ward angle. Will this cause any issues being like this or should I install vertically and let every one know I have aftermarket fuel system.

2002 extened 7.3L 4" fabtech with procomp steering,37x18, fiber glass fronts,4" straight pipe Edge juice addituide

They will not filter properly like that, the water filter will not work at all... You cant see my filters unless you crawl under the truck...

Yes, mount them vertical. If it is placed right, you will not be able to see them at all. Here are a couple pictures of my pre-pump filter for example...
