i did the screw thing this week end. i did notice my idle was flawless. idled perfect. i also noticed i use alot less pedal to run the same speed on freeway. i have not checked the pressuse yet.

Shimming

Why yes this does. I posted some time back when I finnished it. I gutted the stock reg. and used the DI cap with 1/8" port. This gave me lots of room to play. I know now a 7.3 will run with no reg at all and the otherside is that you can stall the fuel pump at 140psi. I havn't yet but this little reg.s have boost reference port for raising the pressure at WOT.

This place has springs to raise the fuel pressure. You may have to E-mail or call to get one but they are 20$ or so.

Cool pump shimming

I had a Gillette spring and it produced 120psi. They run good up their but in my testing I found that the improvement was minimal past 100psi. Thats why I went the regulator route. Infinite adjustment at the turn of a Allen wrench.

I like the idea of the spring myself, but somthing adjustable would be great to.

hey I called Gillette about the springs there 20bucks and achieve around 95 to 100 psi at least thats what the sales guy said.
