I didn't know the Amsoil filter itself had a built in regulator, I believe the Amsoil filter base does. I used real small lines so as not to have too much oil flow. |

In other words, it's pretty small. The bypass should only be taking 3/4 quarts/minute flow vs. 7-8 gallons per minute through the engine. Al |

Thanks for the listing but it clearly states it lacks a restriction orfice. I need to do some research as if if there is no flow regulator this can rob oil pressure from the full flow filter. Notice the listing doesn't say the filter mount is a Amsoil mount!!! Y'all might want to hold off until I do some more research. NCH |

The filter itself restricts the flow, not the mount. I think we all assumed this mount was not an Amsoil mount, since it doesn't cost over $100. But it states in the listing "This Bypass Adapter works with AMSOIL EaBP90/ EaBP100/ EaBP110 Bypass Engine Oil Filters (1"-16 oil filter threads)" which is the correct thread pitch and length for an Amsoil type filter. My only concern with this system is using a non-braided rubber hose to hook the system up. I would rather use a braided line that is a little tougher. Here is what the Amsoil site states. I can't determine if the regulator is built into the filter or the mount. I have also asked the guy on Ebay some ?, but I feel he is simply selling a full flow mount. This can cause some wear issues if this flow isn't regulated. For the member that has this system installed, would you please give us a flow rate by pulling the return line and time it for 1 minute. We have plenty of oil in our sumps you aren't going to do damage. The flow rate should be under 3/4 of a quart per min, 1/2 a quart per min would be ideal. Quote:
