Anyone using an EVO2 for gauges with a DP chip?

I like the clean look of the digital gauges on the EVO2. The other benefit is I can use the EVO2 tunes while I'm checking the couch cushions so I can order the DP stuff.

I need gauges and don't like the analog style for the truck (have enough in the racecar)

Anyone out there running like this? I'm sure the DP is going to perform better than the Edge, but is the Edge stuff that bad that you wouldn't run it in the meantime?

When I pull, it's usually 5-10k.

If you are mechanically stock (injectors, turbo, fuel system) the differance will not be that great. We have sold thousands of them, and they work great. I'm sure some will disagree, but we have done both on several trucks.

go with the DP or TW chip and get yourself the edge insight or msd dashhawk... they are the same unit as the evo but are only gauges.

I have not used an Edge but I have used a SuperChips microtuner and several other chips including DP Tuner. I was not impressed when comparing to Total Diesel Performance or Tony Wildman tuning.

Raul, from what I can tell the products you mention will not work on my vehicle.

I have an 02 7.3.

We have several customers who use the EVO 2 for it's gauges with our chip.

You will be just fine.

I totally mis-read your post. Spending the money on a Evo2 to run with a Tony Wildman chip would be a waste of money. Either do the Wildman and Insight like Raul mentioned, or just do the Evo2, but not both.
