Look at this new electric fan...

Hey Check this out, a custom fit dual electric fan for Superduty 7.3's. I read a write up on the one for Duramax and it claims 27hp and 38 lb-ft on the dyno and a 1 to 2 mpg increase in economy. I think I'm gonna get one 1st chance I get. This is a no-lose situation to me.

Sounds good but $500??? Man that's a lot...I'd rather try to find a stock e-fan set up and fab up some stuff on my own from a bone yard.

500 bucks for 20 hp on these trucks is overkill. If you're after HP there are better mods for your money.

If towing and being cool is your concern, check out a 6.0 IC.

Yeah I agree, if you've not chipped and done all the normal stuff first then the fan is un-necessary, but 20hp after all that other stuff could be nice.

now $300 MIGHT be worth it. IF you live in a hot area and stress your motor all day. Like if your pulling a 6 car trailer through the Arizona desert in June/July. But still, it's $300. I could fill the tank twice and get me and the boys drunk for $300.

I'd drop $300 on it. 20HP is not worth $300 for sure, but more MPG's, and a cooler running truck, sounds good to me.
