ya just pay for one to be shipped out. BTS would probably be cheaper to ship out and ship the core back. John woods and jody at dp tuner work together a lot, so you could get your chip reburned for that. He can reburn it for either a John woods or BTS, but from what I heard him and John work together a lot to get the programming perfect

Get the BTS and don't worry about it. They'll ship it to you if you don't want to drive. I think 95% of the time when I hear someone who wants to do it for cheap and have the local shop do it is back 6 months later with another busted transmission. There are more to Brian's tranys than just parts. He has the tuning down to a science and does other mods inside the trany besides just replacing parts. You won't be disappointed. I guarantee it!

I really think I would like a BTS but for $5Gs I couldn’t justify it at the time because the Ford factory reman tranny was $2035 and it had a 3 year 75,000 warranty. I’m at about 20,000 and 1.5 years now with no complaints and I beat on it very hard every day. I do have dual 40k coolers though. BTS is probably the way to go but it wasn’t in my price range at the time. I defiantly would think twice before going with a Jasper or any other “cheap” reman tranny. Best price I found on one of those was $1500 with 12 month 12k warranty.
