A 6 position chip from a reputable tuner is the best option. I recommend PHP, even though their customer service is lacking the quality of their product is great. If you do not have an intake, exhaust and gauges yet I would do so. I recommend the DIY 6637 intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, and a set of Isspro ev2 gauges (pyro/boost/Trans temp).

By the way, welcome to the org.

Welcome aboard, what he said, but I've had really good customer service from PHP. Maybe it's because I live about 20 minutes from thier shop, but they treated me like family when I was there, Jay and bill and the entire staff where a pleasure too deal with.

Agree with both, but get the hydra and all 17 tunes if you can do the $425.

They are just hard to get ahold of and I had a terrible experience with them last September/October when I got the Phoenix for my obs.

Do some reading and you'll find a lot of info.
Intake, exhaust, gauges, then tunes on a 6pos chip from a custom tuner like Tony Wildman, PHP, and others are preferred.

Hey I understand, even thou they are right up the street, I'm waiting too hear from Jay about my shift issue's but I understand they are really busy, so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.

As far as mods, get a good air intake kit (not K&N) open up the exhaust with a 4" kit, I just installed some ISSPRO gauges from Diesel Manor and could not be any happier.

OK call me stupid, but what does "obs" stand for

I appreciate the feedback
1. 4" turbo back exhaust is going to give you the most for your money for MPG improvement. Assuming yours is stock exhaust.
2. Then a CAI.
3. Depending on where you live, and it doesn't cost anything. Is remove the butterfly in the turbo exhaust flange.
4.Then get yourself at least a 6pos chip with custom tunes from either Wildman, Gearhead, PHP, DP Tuner.

For towing, I would put 4 and 1 equal.
