Best tuning for 99 7.3

Just looking for one tune that is a reliable good mileŠe tune. Nothing that will run hot or hurt the tranny. It won't be raced or even driven fast. Not sure if any custom tuners can recieve a PCM and tune it and send it back??

Thanks

No problem. Seems like a cheap alternative to a 6 position chip.

If you have annual emmisions its not a good idea cause you will have no way to return it back to stock.

I think others like php can put a tune on the pcm as well. I personally would run another tune besides dp but thats just me and my past experience

I had the 80eco for a while as a daily driver tune and I had them switch it out for the 60eco tune.
I much prefer the 60hp tune for daily driving as the power comes on much more linear and there is a fair bit less smoke.
the 60eco tune still feels like it has a lot of get up and go, and to be honest it isn't much slower than their 120hp race tune on my truck.

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

Joel, I finally finished my short story in response to your pm, lol

I also want to add for those that do not know. Our trucks on stock injectors are limited to approx 100hp gains no matter what tune you are on above 100. Thats just the limits of the injectors really. A different turbo might help but only so much.

Any tune within 20hp of eachother is too much alike so get tunes more spaced out if you can, otherwise you really won't feel a difference.

Typically an 80 or 100hp tune is ideal for daily driving, and moderate towing. This is mostly what I run all the time.

I also want to note that im not trying to steer anyone away from dp, I just prefer any tune on a ts chip a lot more

There are many happy customers from ea side. I have nothing bad to say about dp, the tunes are just not for me. Also they are all great people.

Best of luck in your decisions

I have a TS 6 pos chip with PHP tunes. For $300 its the best deal out there.

The tunes are great, pedal feels stock until you really get into it then the truck comes alive.

With a TS chip there are many different companies the offer tunes. I have not tried any other companies tunes but i have nothing to complain about with my PHP tunes. My EGT's are always at a reasonable level and the power is great!
