What does it do?
How can it help me out with the truck?>

From what I can find it will add 100HP/164ft lb torque and most people are giving them away for like $25. I doubt they do anything for the trans, and depending on how old it is, it may be year specific. I guess the newer ones will work with any 99-03 7.3 though.

I know going from my Diablo Predator to my PHP was night and day. The tuner felt like it was hurting the truck and drove like crap. My PHP is smooth, shifts nice, and makes a lot more power.

I was planning on doing a chip anyways, but i saw this and thought well if it does the same thing....................? I need more power and smoother shifting for towing!

these are the tunes it has!~
Has 3 diff setting 1st is a 20hp tow tune 2nd is a 60hp Eco tune 3rd is performance at 100hp.

Still worth it?

if you need a cheap programmer to get you around for a while just get it.
and i never hear anything bad about hypertech, so id say just use it for awhile if its cheap.

does it read codes? cause if it does thats worth the money just for that.

reads and clears codes. I paid $40.00 shipped for it! comes with those tunes stated on the oter thread. Its just temporary till after i do my EBV delete and WW and when i save up the $$$ for a good chip! Worth it?

id say you made a good deal.
try the lower tunes see how the trans shifts. then move up power levels if you want.
thats why i still have my superchips 1705, whenever i need a code reader its right there. with the entire booklet of DTC's listed in it.
sure i could have sold it a long time ago, but its paid for itself already lol
