manual tranny temp gauge
hey, i tried looking for an answer on other threads, but couldn't find it, so forgive me if this is redundant. is it possible to put a tranny temp gauge in your truck if you have a manual tranny, and if so how do you do it? for an edge juiced with attitude or just a regular gauge. thanks.

I have seen a thread or magazine article on it somewhere recently. anything is possible. as far as adding one, you can even add coolers for sticks, short throws etc....now if you need them, well that is up to the user. i will do some skimming and see. as far as the gauge go somemtimes they are added to drain plugs and the like with adapters.. the edge should read that unless it is getting its signal from a pcm line. really most sendors change what the probe sees to some kind of 5 volt system. a made up example ie the sensor feels 85' it sends out 1.6 volts , 4v means that it detected 210'. the gauge doesn't really know the diffrence it just displays what ever 4volts was suppose to be. overly simplified but thats how they work. I take it you have an edge and would like it to display something besides - or (000) should be do-able. |
