Swamps IDM

Truck has been running rough for a while ow got around to getting the codes read that were only readable while the truck was running and found some IDM codes. So I went ahead and bought Swamps IDM high frequency high voltage one, anyone use this? Do you really see any performance out of it? I have stage 1 injectors just wondering if there's any real benefit from it?
Thanks

I think there is a benefit, I have one, many others do too.

I also think that, because of Swamps advertizing showing a 30 rw/hp, people might expect too much. You don't see that level of improvement over a stock 120v IDM. Those numbers might be true for the OLD IDMs, but not what most of us now have.

The HF is a clear advance over the, simpler, HV only IDM mods.

I was going to get this but Larz at Gearhead said if your not running a much larger injector its not really worth it. They can do the same thing in tuning as what the swamps IDM does. If your going to run 250+ sticks then he said yeah, buy it. Either way its still a good buy, but you won't necessarily see the true benefits.

No they can't....

Don't be ridiculous, there's No Way that this can be duplicated in the PCM -> High-Performance IDMs by Swamp's Diesel Performance

I'm not questioning that he told you that, just that it's Not possible to do what the HV/HF IDM is doing with programming not matter what He says

Mine felt the same way after I did the .29 cent resistor mod. Instead of $400 for swamps IDM.

Here are the emails, you can call and ask him. You probably won't because your afraid you may be proven wrong????

Corey is this going to be a reburn or a new chip? On the Swamps IDM I would avoid the high frequency version. Let me know if you have any questions.

(Me questioning Larz)
Any particular reason to stay away from the swamps hifi.?

On the all out tune you will probably be around 425, injectors being the limiting factor. The high frequency IDM isn't needed except with larger injectors at high rpm. The high frequency IDM is like adding pulse width which we can achieve through the tuning. Also how soon are you doing the SRP1.1? Do you want us to tune for it now or will you be sending it in later for a reburn?

One of the top 4 mods I have done.

This can not be duplicated with anything in the PCM... Period.

Also, just to clarify. There is only ONE voltage of IDM, always has been, always will be. Newer ones will put out more, because they are NEWER.

The only differance between a 100, 120 idm is the part number. 100% the same.
