Anyone with a 38r please check out this video

Installed a 38r on my truck last July,It always has made this noise on shut down (noise at the end of video) sounds like a bad ball bearing to me? just want to know if anyone else 38r makes this noise after shut down. more so after a hard tow. IT HAS A ONE YEAR WARRANTY! So i would like to return if its not normal THX

2000 long bed f250 4x4 auto, 38R ball bearing, intake, 4" down pipe back php six position chip low idle, 80 Eco, 140hp, 100, 60tow, 45tow, 5" lift 35 12.5 r17 bfg mud, ccv mod, lock up mod, 6.0 cooler, built 4r100,w triple disc converter 20k reese, 220k miles

Are you talking about the noise at 0:23/24? I had to max out my speakers for it, but it sounds a little bit like a fan hitting something. No perspective, and it could just as easily be metal cooling down cackles, but is that the noise you refer to?

I would talk to the folks you bought it from. It definitely doesn't sound healthy to me.

Mine makes the exact same noise, you can just hear the turbo spinning still with a little bit of ca'ca'ca sound here and there.

It's does sound like a bearing, I was just wondering if any others with the ball bearing 38r have the Same noise, before I pull it off and have to pay shipping for no reason

Ss4matt how long have you had your turbo installed and if you can will u post or send me vid or sound clip from the passagers wheel well on shut down? Did not when I start it cold and shut down not to much more so after warm thx! It is driving me nuts!

My turbo has been on my truck for about a year now, around 10k miles on it give or take, not too sure. I'll see what I can do for a video.
