What To Do????

Im looking to buy my first powerstroke im upgrading from a 98 chevy due to I bought a bigger boat and Im always hauling a welder and tools.. iv got a couple buddies who own 7.3s and iv found a 99 f250 new paint job new leather lifted 4 inches with new 35s on 06 rims the truck has been completely stock from what the guy has told me nothing ever done to it other than a fairly new motor with 90xxx miles the truck itself has 260xxx he wanted 13,900 and I have him down to 12,000 its got all new injectors stock ofcourse I was wondering if im getting a good deal and also if I were to get the truck id like to put maybe a 4in straight pipe 6 pos chip,monitor or gauges, and afe stage 2 intake would that be good to start with no more than I haul its also going to be a daily driver so Id like for it to get pretty decent mpgs... im open to all opoinons and would greatly appreciate anyones input thanks

You still have to remember the truck itself has 260k. that motor shouldn't have ever had to be replaced that early. I wouldn't trust that truck. A truck around here with that many miles is less than a $10k truck. i paid under $13k and mine had 175k miles and was bone stock. Keep looking that's a horrible deal.

Sold 2001 f250 ccsb 4x4 400/400, dual terminators, swamps 80mm bfh, headers, bts and all the usual supporting mods. 715hp fuel only.

Mine was completely bone stock, needed basics like ball joints and what not. Had 142000 on it and after taxes I paid 11,500. I would not trust that deal at all. I would think that one would go for around 9 to 10

paid 8k for mine with 200k miles
rebuilt tranny. brand new tires. few other things.
and that was 3 years ago.

i would wait another week and im sure another nice 7.3 will pop up for sale
