Torque converter

I'm rebuilding my engine .20 over piston, stage 1 injectors, GTP38R turbo, PHP hydra chip. While I have the engine out I was wandering if I should replace the torque converter? I don't have the money to rebuild the trans. Right now but thought it may be beneficial to change the torque converter. Would it be good to replace the torque converter or just let the stock one in till I can get the trans. Rebuilt.

Late 1999 f350 4x4 drw crew cab auto trans, DI 4 position chip, AFE II air filter,ftvb, 4"down pipe into 2 5" stacks, ww, ccv mode, autometer gauges , 135,000 miles. Late 1999 f250 ext cab.4x4 auto FF stage 1 injectors non EBPV pedestal, GTP 38R turbo, hydra with powerstruck tunes, gauges. 213000 miles.

you can throw one in there but when you rebuild the trans it is going to be highly recommended you change the converter

With the power level you would be at I would call up diesel performance converters or bts and get a good converter and a valve body, probably would do ok behind that setup.

Sold 2001 f250 ccsb 4x4 400/400, dual terminators, swamps 80mm bfh, headers, bts and all the usual supporting mods. 715hp fuel only.
