4 in exhaust

Ok Got AFE stage 2 intake, looking at exhaust next, then DP tuner(see Sig).
For exhaust I don't want it loud so i want a muffler of some kind. Thinking FBD strait pipe 4 in. then getting aeroturbine XL series. What do you guys think? Thanks

Yeah the Aeroturbine Muffler's are supposed to be very nice not sure about how quite and the FBD's exhaust is the way to go very good price.

the 7.3 isn't loud at all with the straight pipe, I wouldn't worry about a muffler. just wasted money. but that's just my opinion. your gonna love the Dp chip.

4" Silverline SS w Muffler here. QUIET in the cab at least. I know it must be loud outside, bc diesel guys will hear a PSD and spin their heads around It isn't bad at all. There is one range just before a shift that sounds pretty loud, but not too bad. (only towing)
I got mine from geoff#### on eBay. ETR Diesel??? I dont remember, but it was $400 to my door. IDK what the system you are talking about costs, but I was smilin at that price. The MKO exhausts are a bit cheaper I believe, but I wanted ss. No sense taking a good exhaust off and replacing it with inferior quality.

Thanks guys, I'v heard a 6.0 without muffler, sounded like a jet, but was to loud for me. Since the 7.3 are not as loud, I could start out with strait pipe, then worry about muff later.

I got 1 more mpg with the air intake So real courious what milage will be with exhaust too.

What is the difference between a pickup exhaust and an X exhaust? Can you install an X on a pickup?

90% of the differance is the tail pipe. Has to sneak around the fuel tank. You could put a X system on a pick up, but not vice versa...
