what excatly are you trying to do. are you trying to unhook it or what. if you want to unhook it, its on teh front side of teh turbo onteh bottom. there is a little metal clip holding the 2 wires in there. simply lift up on teh clip and pull teh plug out and its unhooked.

I would just unplug it, mine has been unplugged for years and the truck warms up just fine and dandy the plug is a 2 wire connector on the turbo prdistal, its kida tough to reach but its as simple as unpluggin it and the EBPV wont ever come on again

I would like to use it as a brake while towing. Is it just 12vdc that runs it?

if you could simply put it on a switch and use it as a brake im sure someone would have already done that... Im pretty sure it runs on temperature so to make it come on you would have to fool the system thinking the engine is too cold to make it come on. Correct me if im wrong, just my 2 cents.

its not the wastegate you unplugged, its the Exhaust Back Pressure Valve, unless your referring to the red tube going to the wastegate accuator?
