dp tuner questions

i have a buddy that has a 2002 7.3 and hes lloking to get more power.... ive looked on here and everybodies recommending the dp tuner. i just want to know the price on what it would cost with the custom tunes.... and also does it make it smoke and how much power does it get?????? thanks for any help u can provide.....

I just installed the DP Tuner thats in my signature. It makes great, push you back into the seat, power and does smoke some on the 140 extreme setting. I would tell your friend to get some gauges because egt's rise fairly quickly on the higher settings. I also found out that a weak single disc clutch is no match for the improved performance I am having to run stock setting until I get time to install a new clutch rated for more power and torque than stock.

First I gotta do something about this clutch. It's killing me not to be able to use this chip. I keep spending money on this truck and I'm going to have to hire a security guard to keep the wife from burning it down. lol. She thinks new kitchen cabinets are better than mods. I lost the new furnace argument, maybe if it had been closer to summer......

DP Tuner all the way...

I spent 200 on tunes in the past... now that I'm stepping up injectors it's costing a bit more for custom files... still less then 400 for 3 tunes and a new F5 chip.

I was about to hunt a 2nd job for more mod coin but I got a call friday evening thats most likely going to be good for me and not so good for the other mechanic. Lots of things I want to do and having the keys and the use of the big truck shop will be nice.
