Regulated return.

Just curious if its necessary to have 3/8 hose with -6an fittings for the kit I'm building. The banjo bolts are going to be drilled out to 1/4" and the fittings going into the head are 1/8"npt. So in the way I see things -4an fittings and hose would be just fine. Any input would be really appreciated as I'm trying to get my parts ordered ASAP

I wish I could help but unfortunately I'm in the same predicament.
Here's my thread with a similar question on fuel systems except in the pump department: Fuel System Upgrade Questions

From what i understand they go 5/8" to the pump, 1/2" from the pump to the motor & 3/8" going back to the tank assuming you're using more than a stock pump.

I have the driven diesel prepump kit and the hose is 3/8. I just wanted to know if it would matter if I just used -4an hose for my regulated return on the motor. I don't see a need where it would have to be -6an hose. Your only going to flow what the banjo bolts will let thru. -4an is about the same as 1/4. Idk. Just looking for advice
