Question Hushpower Anyone ?

just curious if anyone has tried this new muffler called Hushpower ? They state there's a slight increase in torque and it eliminates the drone. Believe I read it was made by flowmaster

i dont think most people are worried about getting rid of the drone etc. Powerstrokes dont hit as low as Cummins imo and its not nearly as annoying on the highway. I'd be interested to see if anyone knows of performance gains from it though...and imagine that most others are too

I just saw them in 8lug...

I guess this would be for those guys like Matt who have friends and family that get tired of hearing a diesel work.

I think those types of people are loco, but not everyone likes the same thing so it's just another item to buy!

I try to keep my truck quiet for my wife. I also like to hear the details in the music being played.

Isn't it worse with the stack? I thought about installing one, but with my tool box taking almost 2 feet, that only leaves 6 usable feet for moving/hauling stuff. ..and I want to keep my box.

the quad cab + stack doesn't help either, more room for stuff to bounce around

i've seen guys just weld themselves custom boxes to fit between their stacks and bolt through the back of the box into the front of the bed

I hate the droan too, but love the turbine sound that most mufflers absorb. The problem with V8's is the droan occurs around 2000 rpm, which is cruising speed. I can't recall when Cummins engines hit that frequency, but it's out of the normal highway speed.

I would like to hear the Hushpower also. I'm sure it does what it says, being from Flowmaster. I run a Flowmaster Outlaw Race muffler and it killed the droan considerably. You can slide a 4" pipe all the way through it and it still does away with sound somehow. Other mufflers I tried made it worse.
