Is there a standard limit of where your cut off is as far as HP/TQ before it will affect your reliability? I also was wondering if anyone could fill me in with definite musts on what to do with this truck.I figured tranny mods? It's got the auto tranny. From what I read I was kicking around getting 4 inch straight pipe,DP tuner, and an AFE intake. My truck is pretty much bone stock, so I'm trying to figure out what order to buy the parts in if I can't swing all the $$$ at once. Thanks for your time, and I look forward to your replies.

I would do a DIY intake, straight pipe, a set of gauges and a DP tuner chip, in that order. As far as trans stuff, I would talk to Jody at DP tuner. He works with John Wood for trans tuning. A John Wood valve body in conjunction with a DT tuner chip and you will be good to go. Don't worry about the power settings like mentioned in the previous post. 171K here with a lot of fuel being used and not problems.
For a full built trans I would go with John Wood. A great transmission, it will hold more power than some other three letter brands and the customer service is out of this world. The only other trans shop I would recommend is BTS.
