Air Intake Problem
I have a 02 F250 4x4 CC. It has what I think is called the zoo-dad mod. Looks like a good idea. But living in northern Illinois we have seen a substantial amount of snow this year. Today I was driving the truck and got a air filter check light on the dash. When I opened the stock box, I found a soft ball sized piece of snow and ice. I can only assume it cam through the opening. This opening is on the drivers side behind the grill. Is there any good idea to remedy this or should I just plug the hole in the winter months. I am ordering my stage 2 afe this week and dont want to ruin it.

I would find a piece of plastic to put over the opening and use it in the winter months if you are getting snow in the intake box. Water will not ruin the AFE, I get water in the intake box area when it is pouring rain and I am driving. Maybe if you are getting the dry media filter it could be bad, I just thought of that.

I was planning on getting the 51-10192. That is just the regular filter according to afe. They said I dont need the extra filtering since I am just on interstates. Which one would you recommend and any recommends on where to purchase. I plan on getting triple pillar by autometer also.

I run the regular filter and I drive everywhere. Town , freeway, drag strip, sled pulling track, desert, you name it. It filters perfectly. I would hit up the site vendors to get the best price. I know Raul can hook you up.
