Air intake kit?

Looking to see what everyone's thoughts are for an air intake kit for my 03. I've been looking at the banks but its a little pricey. I've heard afe is good too. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpfull.

6637 is more widely used among all trucks and has a great bang/buck ratio. They can be bought for $30-$50

Here is a generic photo: http://www.fleetfilter.com/mm5/graph...0001/46637.jpg

Or look at the FORD AIS filter for under $200. It looks right, flows as well (or better) and lasts longer...

Sounds like everybody with the DIY 6637. It's just the air filter clamped to the pipe. Flows better than any of them I think. Avoid k&n, in my opinion, tons of money for sub par flow and filtration. If you want looks and cleanliness, buy a factory air box and be done with it.

Yeah it's just a polished strait tube with a spectre filter at te end. Just sucking all the hot air under the hood. I'm not worried about looks just functionality.

Then do the 6637. It flows great and the hot air doesn't affect it all that much. I can order the filter on line (wix part#46637) for about $40 shipped. Cheaper if you buy the case. Saves you a ton of money and you won't be dissapointed.
