Question Best "OBDII" Programmer?

I was wondering which OBDII programmer was the best for the 7.3L PSD? I'm not really wantin an answer like "They are all junk..(even if they are) Buy a TS or DP.."

Also, When you unplug the red boost line, do you leave the wastegate hole open or plug it too?

I have not tried any edge products yet but as far as programmers go I have had a Hypertech III, old style and newer 1705 style super chips micro tunner and 2 Predators. I have to say the Hypertech sucks, SCMT is good for folks who want a little more power but the Predator is far superior. It will blow smoke and light up the tires and has way more power but the biggest benefit is the almost scanner like diagnostics. I have a flip chip now but I keep the predator for diagnostics. I can even record sensor data and play it back in trend recorder graphic software on my computer. All the software and updates are free downloads from the Diablo Sport website. Mine cost $230 on eBay and was well worth it.

I love the edge evo for a plug in programmer, it shift nice, great power as well as economy. I had one and sold it for a TS now im having the TS reburnt with some wildman tunes, but the evo would kick butt on extreme compared to my TS. I have a used evo for sale PM me for a price if interested

I just got an evo2 and its pretty slick. reads codes, acts as gauges, has egt. I have only set it to the 60hp tow setting because i dont have an exhaust yet. It sure woke up the truck! you hardly touch the pedal and it wants to go. i like it!

Of course there are better ways to get more power (TW or DP) but i dont dig the gauges on the pillar and this is a good way to get my feet wet for now and i only paid about what a set of gauges and paint would have cost me in the future ill probably add a tranny gauge and maybe switch to a tw chip and keep the evo as gauges (that will come after all the other mods and fixes i gotta do)

Actually Edge said no one can. Not just us. Their letter about this is on their website. Due to EPA and CARB certifications all Custom tuning options for all Edge products will eventually be shut down.

Well that just sucks!

As far as Programers go... SCT wins hands down! Diane, you can still burn on the SCT's right?

Yes Joe... The SCT was designed for others to custom tune them.
