10K and EBPV swithc

On the resistor mod does the resistor go into the sensor itself? I cannot find a straight answer on this by searching? Like do you push it into the opening of the sensor or do you put it into the wires behind the sensor?

Also I'm wiring up my EBPV with a on-off type switch where will my two wires run? I have my fuse holder, my on-off switch, resistor diodes and everything else ready. I have to put these in before friday for my trip to the farm machinery show in lousiville so I don't have to deal with the valve always being on and ruining my economy
