Well Now.....

So Saturday afternoon, switched out the fuel filters (YUCK the old one was black) and the air filter and again I kept looking at what I thought was the turbo...... wondering...... is Garrett an OEM turbo or am I just a girl and have no fricking clue.........

So I googled TurboByGarrett.com - Ford PowerStroke

Well looky there, that's what mine looks like! Wonder what else isn't stock???????

Garrett is the stock turbo for the powerstroke, the one in the picture is a Ball Bearing turbo by garrett, if you have one of those, it will be very loud. I would get the serial number off the turbo and see if its stock or a b/b

If you had a ball bearing turbo like that one you would know it. Most likely yours is the stock Garrett unit that came from the factory on all 7.3s.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt the elbow to the 38R different???

I am pretty sure the inducer size is bigger... thus, it comes with a different elbow...
