Diesel Innovations chip?

I don't think I have really seen anyone talk about Diesel Innovations on here, and I'm kinda new to this, but I have a friend that has one and says it's great. From what I can tell it's similar to the TS or DP or TW, it has i think 4-6 settings up to 140. I'm wondering how it compares to the TS,DP,TW.

David has good tuning, ive never owned a chip from him but have ridden in several trucks that have his tuning.

Aren't all these chips burned to a specific computer code. I looked at Diesel Innovations website and they don't mention that but most others do. Am I missing something?
