Question EDM injectors?

Can some please explain to me what these are? I run EDM machine for a living and was wondering if i could just get a old set of stock injectors and cut them bigger of somthign. Ive seen ads for thses type of injectors and would like some info on the. Thanks!

EDM is like the abrasive putty, right?? Just run your injector tips through it and let us know how it turns out.

no your thinking of EH or Extrude Hone. EDM is electro discharge machine, it uses electricity to enlarge the holes.

Yea i can EDM drill holes down to .010 diameter, and wire EDM Verl small holes too. anyone ever heard of anyone ever doing this to there injectors? How big are the holes in a stock injector anyways? any help?

I think your confused diesel monkey. stock is somewhere around .0065, i run .012. Hartman unless you can precisely control the angle of the hole then i wouldnt try it. If you get a hole just a bit off your spray pattern would be way out of wack.

My tips I am running now are three .010 holes and four stock...

My new ones are .008

Hmmmm... yea i can do angles tapers, lands ect but 10 thou is startin to push it and i dont think i could go any smaller than that. How many hole are typicaly in the injector anywas?

Mine are 0.008 as well... 0.010 are big, and 0.012 are huge.

Like luke said though, they need to be at a precise angle for proper fuel atomization.

stock nozzles are .0058-.0062 according to DDP. Then you open them up from there. I run .0065 just because I want to keep the smoke and EGT's down while towing.

Luke, With .0012, no wonder you keep breaking engine parts and pieces. Dang that is a lot of fuel.
