Best turbo upgrade with my new setup

Gents,

I have a late '99 7.3. It came with a Banks Air Intake. I recently put 200/30 injectors on it, 4" turboback exhaust, and custom TS tunes. WOW! Talk about night and day. It's awesome.

Not surprisingly, my mind is already going to future mods. What turbo would you recommend going with? I am debating between the GT38R and the H2E, or perhaps another? Would like good, broad power without TOO much lag.

Also, which HPOP to use with which turbo?

Also, at what point do I have to start worrying about studs and tranny upgrades (auto)?

Thanks much.

t500, adrenaline, stealth...HPOP

Turbo, hands down for me, is the T4/s366 set-up. ITS REBUILDABLE.

Thanks. How does that one compare to the s468?

What do you think about Swamp's Gen 3 HPOP?

Gen3 will be to much hpo for what you are looking to do. I've seen gen3 cause issues because of to high of output and it not actually being used caused the ipr not to keep up.

For turbo, 366 on a t4 mount. It's good to about 550hp. the 468 is an awesome all around turbo but to expensive for my taste, I would personally run a 471, 472 or 475(if I had the fuel to spool it) over a 468.

Seems like 400hp is the magic number for these stock trans. But it all depends on your driving habits. I drove with my current setup for about 4k miles on my stock trans that had an upgraded tc and valve body... Then it blew. I dont think I helped it any drag racing. In went the BTS.

I would go with a t4 setup that way you are not limited on your turbo options if you ever go bigger or smaller with your injector choice. Wish I had gone that way instead of getting the 38r.

200/30...just use the stock HPOP and a 38r...no need for anything bigger

I found this turbo online. Do you think it's the same as the s366? It's much cheaper.

That's what a s366 is.
