connecting rods and tc ?
Whats the scoop on the powdered metal rods and the forged, and what years did they come in?
Also getting close to doing my tranny and wanted your oppinions on trip. disc, billet tc (ie. which company you run and what you sugest) |

from 94 to around 10-2000n have forged rods. And the scoop is PMR's suck!
For a transmission I recommend John Wood. John Wood Automotive - Home He has a custom billet torque convertor, tripple disc, that is bar none the best out there. |

i can tell ya first hand pmr rods suck, your truck is a 99 it has the forged rods

good to know, thanks for all the info. how would would I know if my tranny is bad? 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd are pretty hard, other than that it seems like nothing is slipping but I'm not sure. I used to think the tranny was slipping cus it would feel like it when i romp on it even at about 25-30 mph, but one day the black smoke cleared and i still saw smoke, only it was white and was followed by a loud screeching noise leaving streeks on the blacktop

hahaha. trannys are confusing. I have a brand new one and sometimes i feel like its bad. hard shifts then sometimes its like a double sputter then someone said its probably my turbo surging.... but I did my tranny with alto power packs from dpp and recon tripple disc converter.
