17* of 15* hpop?
i see this around all the time, what exactly are they? how are they better over the stock pump.

7.3L Powerstrokes came with either a 15 degree HPOP or a 17 degree HPOP. HPOP stands for high pressure oil pump, and it is what makes our fuel injectors work. The 15* pumps were found in the OBS trucks 94-97 and the early 99's like mine. The 17* pumps were found in the late 99-03 7.3's and are a better pump beacuse they flow more oil than the 15*. Your truck should have a 17* from the factory.

is there any thing that you have to do to make it fit or will it bold right up and would it be a good up grade if i was to run small injectors.

Early birds just swap the pump. Nothing else needed except a new gasket.

so all i would have to do is get one off a newer 7.3 and just get the resivor. and were is that at. im not to sure on anything on the newer trucks.
