So I'm really getting tired of my EBV (exhaust backpressure valve) being closed every morning while my truck is warming up. It sounds like a vacum cleaner and it's killing my MPG's. So can I, or should I say how do I wire it open so I can be done with it. And if I do force it open, are there any drawbacks for it not functioning anymore?

Kinda hard to explain but just put your finger under it, there will be a lip, and push towards the driver side. Then just pop it off the turbo. After that, open the EBPV all the way and then wire it open.
Drawbacks - truck won't warm up as fast. |

Are there any posts anywhere with pics or videos that would make this easier to explain?

you can unplug the ebpv. it will set a code, but not trip the check engine light. the only down fall is that the truck will not warm up as fast.
