Bully Dog Chip or Tuner???

Looking to get something for my 2001 F350... My bud has a Bully Dog, and I would like to go with that brand as well.

What would you guys recommend.. a 4 Bank 6 position Bully Dog chip.. or a Power Pup???

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
If you wanna stick with bully dog get the chip. But look around at other options like Dp Tuner or Tony wildman totaldieselperformance.com
Both of the options i posted are much better than bully dog and the same amount of money

im rollin with dave on this one as will most other members i personally run the dp go with dp youll have the same and possibly less money into it depending on what tunes you go with youll have lower egt's better shifting tranny assuming auto trans since you dont have your sig filled out better fuel mileage and more choices on tunes check out jodys site dp-tuner.com hes got 10 or so listed and if you call him he'll go over the others he doesnt have listed think hes got close to 20 different one to choose from and he chip has 16 positions as oposed to 6 and youll have way better support from him than youll ever see from bully dog and best of all youll flat out smoke your buddy with the bully dog

Don't forget gauges, you got to have gauges BEFORE any kind of chip or programmer!

I had a bully dog flip chip, it was good but not as good as a stock TS performance chip, and a custom chip like a TW burned chip would be even better. Get something good and smoke your buddy with his bully dog for the same money.

That was good insight so far... I am going to look into DP. What would you guys recommend as far as level of tunes for my truck.. and yes it is auto (sorry bout that). I dont want to go to aggressive, but something with a little more pep, and better shifts.

I have the following tunes, no start, stock, high idle, 60 tow, 80 econo, 100 performance, 120 race, 140 extreme. The 80 econo is where mine stays. pulls like a train, especially from 55-90mph and fuel mileage is better

If it were me with DP tunes, I would go with stock, high idle(1200rpm), 60tow, 80E and 120race.

That will give you an well rounded set of tunes. Keep in mind that you need the supporting mods as well. Intake, exhaust and gauges.

This combo will give you more than bully dog ever dreamt of.

Keep strokin'
