trying to figure out what to do, i have a 1999.5 ps with 200,000. I ran the ts six position and hated it made a horrible shifting clink, like my tranny was ready to fall out and gave me throttle problems and threw the check engine light randomly. but i got amazing gas mileage in the 20's. then i switched to the edge evolution. clink went away transmission shifted smoothly and no check engine light. gas mileage sucks in all settings

anyone ever use the custom tune feature on the evolution to build your own tune to get better gas mileage?

im thinking about just switching to a dp

Either get the TS chip reburned by Tony Wildman or get a DP.

what kind a mpg you get with the dp

With stock injectors I was getting 20mpg. Now I am getting 16-16.5mpg around town and 17-18mpg on the freeway, solo. 10-11mpg towing. All on 80 economy tune.

I just got the Evo2 and currently getting 25-27mpg. I use the L2 setting 80hp and have not had any troubles with temp (gauge set for EGT, Oil temp, and Tran Oil temp). I have not done any towing with the Evo2 yet so am not sure how that will go.

If that is using the overhead display to calculate mileage, it gets messed up with tuners and does not read accurate. Hand calculate it and you will firgure it out real quick 25-27mpg is not in any way accurate.

a evo 2 wont work on a obs truck will it? I havent had any problems out of my ts yet

Just installed it last week so I am not sure if that will hold for the long term. We are currently do a full tank of gas test to see were we end up. I agree that display reads high (has shown 40mpg on freeway with Evo2) but tank had been close to full when we installed it and got 210 miles for 8.1 gals. My wife could not believe it and made me use a gps to see if the evo2 had change the speed or mileage tracking (gps vs car within 1%). Please not my driveing habits are very much freeway (75%+) and I use the cruise control as much as I can, only doing 60mph or so. I like the Evo2 because it is a simple system to install, has what I needed (gauges and tuner) and seems to works as advertised. I totally agree other individuals may want more options and going with another system maybe the way to go.

what????? i dont get it i got the evo and mpg sucks on all levels - 10 - 15 max mpg maybe they have a new tune out and i need to update it?

hmmm thats weird, i always run mine on 80hp setting easily getting 20+mpg keeping my foot out of it......
