exhuast install, need some tips..

hey guys, im puttin on my 4inch striaght pipe exhuast tomorow, and i was wondering if there are any good tips i should know, before i screw something up, any one know a good torque spec to tighten the clamps, and the v band clamp from the turbo to also?

don't know about the tq specs.. but when I done mine I had a hard time getting the down pipe pushed up into the engine compartment.... the only way I was able to get it put in was with a ratchet strap... I had to put it on the transmission to pull it over a 1/4 or 1/2 of a inch to make it go with no problem.... once I did that it was nothing.... good luck

well, afte r along day of cold and avrigation i got my exhuast one, its not as loud as i wanted it to be, but it does sound saweet, it wistles like a jet too!! thanks everyone

got a question i just put on my 4inch straight pipe today , was wondering if there is any way to check for leaks? also new to this but is it normal to have it loud in the cab now? and feel the truck rumblin?

i just crawled under my truck and felt for air on all the fittings,

your gonna have some sound difference. you may feel a little of the rumble inside too. i do. not a big issue.

i did that dont seem to feel any but would it be possible to put some soapy water on there to see if it bubbles? also is it loud in the cab and can feel the vibration for you as well?

to me it seems def a lot louder inside the cab and vibration but im assuming this is normal

it is normal. if you have any leaks you will know within a short amount of drive time. just look for little black streaks around the slip joints. if its leaking it will show up!

ok and if those streaks show up then i just adjust and tighten her down some more?
