XD fuel sump advice

XDP Black Anodized Diesel Fuel Tank Sump Kit - No Tank Drop Install

How many have done this mod? My issues start at half a tank and I've dropped that stupid thing twice! I'm really interested in doing this. I'm not worried about clearance, I don't do any crazy offloading in mu truck. Hay fields and the roads on the lease are as crazy as I go.

Diesel Innovations put one on my 01, not XD's but same principle. It cut out the FASS kicking off & on from 1/4 tank & down.

I've personally never used the sump pump but i've heard a lot of good things about them.. have you tried doing to the hutch mod and fixing the pickup foot? It's common for them to crack or break off and roll around in our tank, which causes the 1/4 tank issues.. its a cheap, reassuring mod.. just my $.02..

Yeah, I dropped the tank twice. I removed the pick up foot , pre cleaners, then mixing unit.i replaced the foot with just tubing going to the bottom but had to redo it. I really like the idea of the sump.....
