Rebuilt Turbo
With the very appreciated help from psdfan99 and some others, i rebuilt my stock garett turbo tonight. Ordered a rebuild kit from Rons Turbo Serive as soon as i heard my Wicked WHeel grinding the housing of my turbo early this week. Ron shipped me the kit overnight and tonight we finished rebuilding the turbo after only a few hours. It was a pretty straightforward job as long as you pay attention to what your doing and take your time. I would tell those who are skeptical about this job not to worry, its really not bad. its always nice to have some help with the bigger projects and like i said thanks to my friend jake and some others everything went pretty well. SO thanks to Ron's service and you guys here on the org the task got completed. wish i had some pictures to post but i didnt have my camera with me.....
THanks for all the help. Last edited by pojo4223; 01-17-2008 at 06:19 AM. |

Sorry that I did not answer you call. I was at cub scouts with my son and left the phone in the truck. When I was home and realized my phone was still in there, it was 10:30pm my time and I figured it was too late to call Jake back. Obviously I was wrong. Glad to hear you got it done.
Congrats! |

Yup the rebuild job went very well, I was very suprised how simple and easy it is to service a stock turbo charger. Literally all you need is a 12pt 8mm socket and some shop rags. Sorry for no pictures, maybe next time.
