Transgo Tugger 2 vs. BTS VB???

I have sitting on my workbench a Tugger 2 shift kit that I was planning on installing. I am about to order my DP Tuner and was wondering if I should go ahead and install the shift kit(pump mod also) or should I try to sell it and order a BTS valve body? It's not a big deal to me to take the trans out and do the pump mod, but it would be nice to just swap the valve body. What makes the BTS VB a better option than the shift kit? Wouldn't they basically do the same thing? What benefit is the pump mod for the shift kit if the BTS VB makes no changes to the pump?

Well I don't know how good the BTS is, but I am really happy with my Tugger 2 setup. Not too firm, but much better than stock.

I would go with the BTS over the transgo. My brother put a shift kit in his 4R100'd F150 and it ruined the tranny.

Transgo hooked up with Brian and asked him to come up with a rebuild kit. To which he did. I would call up Brian or Patty or Tina or Cale and see what they say. I have a BTS in my truck and I love it.

if you're ordering a DP Tuner you need to go with a BTS vb and tell jody you have it and tell brian or cale that you have the tuner. these two work together on their tuning to optimize the trans shifts and performance.

call Brian at BTS he can hook you up with a vb for about $200.00. BTS is located in Lead Hill, Arkansas and he'll ship all over.

it's the best time. the chip may or may not raise the line pressure in the trans, this vb deffinently will. Dp Tuner tweaks the shifts with his tunes but I don't know about what you have. that is why I recommend the BTS vb with a Dp Tuner Jody at DP Tuner and brian work together on this.
