Edge juice attitude for monitoring

Will an edge juice attitude for a 6.0 diesel work on my 01 for monitoring purposes only? It come with a pyro attachment for $100. I'm planning to jump on it just to use as a gauge. I plan on buying php Phoenix chip after exhaust and DIY intake.

is it the old style that plugs in to the PCM under the Hood ?

EDIT if so it won't plug in to your PCM

I sold My old Edge insight for 100 it looked just like the programer but was just a monitor that plugged into the OBD u can find them cheap

Nope. It's an obd port one from my understanding. Edge juice with attitude.
