any of yall run these? thruster claims 40% over stock and garret claims 33% but does this mean that the thruster will get me more gains?

They use the same size wheels. The thruster will provide no additional airflow.

I have installed and ran both of those turbos on 2 different Super Dutys I've had. To me they are an upgraded stock replacement and they perform the same. I put more miles on the BD turbo in that truck before I sold the truck but never had any problems from it. That truck had stage 2 injectors and was getting plenty of fuel and the Thruster kept up with that just fine. Currently my truck with the 38R is mostly stock and has about 12k miles on that turbo with no issues at all. If I had to do it again I would just buy the one I could get a better deal on.

PolarBear - Out of the 3 Turbo's which is your preference (38R included)?

The BD is a journal bearing unit while the Garrett is a ball bearing unit, size wise they are the same. Its the ball bearing center section that makes the Garrett shine.
