IDM mod help
OK, I need some help removing the resistor out of the IDM. I got the lid off of the IDM, located the resistor that needs to be removed, I cant see any visable solder left on it, but I cant get the resistor out. I scratched the circuit board messing with it, so I plugged it back in on the truck, and the truck still runs, so no damage...so far. ANY ADVICE would be greatly appreciated...

i dont remember clearly but i think i used a pair of small needle nose pliers and gently grabbed the resistor from the sides and fiddled a bit with it....

yup, grab the blue resistor with a set of needle nose and touch the resistor with the solderig gun to heat it a bit and just pull the resistor out.

IDM- Injector Drive Module.
It controls the injectors. This mod raises the voltage that the injectors run at. From 90v to 110v. Or something like that. |
