Not unless you wanna change shift points or TC lockup in the tunes

i agree with Dave..... or unless it just starts shifting too hard... your DP will be tuned for a stock trans so its boosting up line pressure already....now not sure how much of a rebuild your doing but if you start adding shift kits or valve bodys thats gonna boost up the line pressure even more...... i say run it like that and if it doesnt shift the way you want it send it back for a retune

I am hoping that you are not going with a local shop, good 'ol boy rebuild. They never hold up to a modded powerstroke.

even if they rate it and give a warranty for it.

Rated for what HP level? what parts are being used in the rebuild? Are they adding any clutches? What pump kit is being used? What torque convertor is being used? What is the warranty?

rated around 450hp with 2 year warranty. He would put a new trip. disc high performace torque convertor rated at least 500 hp and new somethin like red line clutches, shift kit, sprigs, and a couple other things.
