Edge chip is installed but i am not sure about the settings. any recomendatios for the EGT and boost back down? i need a temp but i do not know what would be a safe temp to go with. And for the adj fueling setting....... 5 has most smoke correct ? (i like that)
and should i have the defuel on shifts ON or use the alternative? P.s. thanks for helping me out guys. I always have some dumb questions. THANKS |

I have the EGT back down set at 1250 and the boost set at 25 I think. I have the defuel on shifts enabled just to hopefully save some abuse on the tranny.
Yes, setting 5 will give more smoke and throttle response, but will kill your mileage. |

ok. i had the truck on nleel four just now, pulled out onto the street and punched it..... it chirped at me and in the records it showed a 20% back down. Then my check engie light came on....... turned the truck off and started it, the light has stayed off. possibly redlined it? Any idea why it chirped at me? Im kinda worried just because no where in the manual can i find info about it. am i just worrying too much?
I really want to try level 5 but i dont want to hurt anything. I really need some advice on this one. |

the chirp is a user settable warning. you can change them in the menu. just set the parameters for when you want to hear it.
low boost fueling does help with acceleration some (seat of the pants) and gives more smoke as you stated, but i keep mine backed off completely unless i am about to dust someone since i can change on the fly. the back down is set by your egt warning temp in the menus. if it is set low you will backdown prematurely. the check engine light comes on because one of the sensors detects a reading its not expecting (that is how the chip works, so no wonder it sets code). mine sets a code whenever i get above about 10psi of boost and i am on the throttle hard. the light usually goes off in a couple minutes or when i shut the truck off. I run level 5 constantly, BUT i drive fairly conservatively 99% of the time. My computer is set do defuel on wot shifts, i hope that helps with my tranny too. I have kept it on level 5 for a while, doing some MPG tests. I DO NOT TOW. dont take this for gospel, i'm just a shadetree mechanic.

Your SES code was probably either a P1211 - Injector control pressure is different than expected or a P1209 - Peak injection pressure fault as stated on page 11 of the Edge manual.
One question though, what version is your Attitude running? I need to know if they have came out with a newer version than my V1.0. |

Back to Texas thank you. (IM FROM TEXAS!). should i change my parameters lower? and should i do something different.....as in the way i accelerate hard. Is the egine light coming on a bad thing? Im just really confused on whats expectable and whats odd.
Ranajo- i will look and post up what version it is. I really have no idea. ill let you know tho. Thanks guys. Texas what do you have your parameters set to? |

also what year truck do you have? the juice has no trans tuning and makes your trans shift pretty bad... my trans eventually went out using the juice......

Yep, didn't like the shifts either so I installed a Gregg Evans VB to help the tranny live longer
