Yes on the turbo master and the ATS is a good choice for turbo upgrades. CSIPSD is running the turbo master on his new TN BB and on the two previous turbos he has run.

Ah.. but that's an turbine wheel!!

You didn't hurt yor compression wheel did you??

Not bad, just a little rubbing on the compressor housing. But isn't damage, damage. Or does turbine damage not count?

Sure it counts.. but looks to me like your exhause damage was a combination of things. High heat, and possible some over speed.

Plus.. compression wheel rubbing could have very likely happened because of the turbine wheel getting out of balance.

I guess my point in pointing out which wheel is that the guy earlier said he'd been told that a disconnected waste gate would cause compressor wheel overspeed. You major damage is on the turbine wheel, not the compressor.

That other guy that talked to his fathers friends buddy that has a cousin that was married to a gal and her father owned a shop that said it was not a good idea need to talk to a person who knows powerstrokes. Then he should post up.

Now for my pic, All I was saying to someone, before the pic, is at 30-32psi all the time and 28psi with a trailer will kill a stock turbo if you run it past the efficiency map like an idiot. And that is the first turbo I killed, then another reman died in another 4 months of abuse. Then I got a D66 and all was good.

I have the Banks wastegate already but 25lbs is the most I have seen. So would plugging it off even help? Or is 25lbs a good number.

I'm agreeing with you man.. I really am.

Was basically just pointing out that you killed the opposite side of the turbo from what the so-called expert told the other guy he would hurt!!!

I've intentionally stuck with my Hypertech for as long as I have, because I knew that with hotter tunes.. I'd be just like you. I'd flog it til something broke. Now.. things are starting to fall into place.. and I'm working on a plan to build things up.
